Mr. Reynaldo A. Calabdan is currently Program Specialist and Operations Director of CIFAL Bangkok which is hosted by AIT Extension, Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. He is also a consultant specializing in professional and organizational development. His professional interests include strategic human resource management, leadership and team building, training of trainers, results-based management, performance management, project management, interpersonal and cross-cultural communication.
Previously, he was program specialist leading the Education and Training Development Unit of AIT Extension, the center at the Asian Institute of Technology that provides training and capacity building services to professionals from the Asia-Pacific region. For over 10 years of professional engagement at AITExtension, his roles included planning, design, delivery, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of various training projects as well as management and facilitation of organizational development initiatives.
As a trainer and facilitator, Mr. Calabdan conducted various training of trainers (ToT) programs for teachers and other professionals and delivered training sessions on the topics of strategic human resource management, leadership and team building, results-based management, performance management, communication skills, personality awareness, and ICT applications in education and training management. He also facilitated organizational retreats that integrate organizational assessment, strategic planning and team building activities. Mr. Calabdan completed a Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in 1995. He earned his Master’s of Education (MEd) Degree, with major in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA in 2011.
