Sufian Etea

Program Officer

Sufian serves as Senior Programme Officer of AIT Extension. His responsibilities are design and development of training programmes and learning activities in the area of public administration and public sector policy implementation, such as public finance, anti-corruption, public enterprise management and good governance. Sufian works closely with programme directors to lead coordination and implementation of international training programmes and capacity development activities sponsored by World Bank, UN agencies, IFAD and DFID. During 2017-2019, he served as Project Coordinator for Special Olympics Young Athletes Impact Evaluation Project in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Thailand

He was also Course Coordinator for Public Finance and Risk Management Batch 1 and 2 for State Accountability Revitalization (Star), BPKP, Indonesia. He worked closely with lead consultant / director programme for Capacity Building Project of Ministry of Energy and Mines, Lao PDR. In this project, he coordinated with Entura Hydro Tasmania on administrative aspect and to follow-up financial part of the collaboration.

Sufian was assigned as Training Coordinator for Series of Training Programme and Work Attachment on Capacity Enhancement for Consultants and Physiotherapist for Service to Person with Disabilities. This programme AIT Extension had collaboration with Sirindhon National Medical Rehabilitation Center and Rajanukul Institute to design work attachment programmes for consultants and therapists from Bangladesh. Likewise, he was Training Coordinator for training programmes on Governance and Anti-Corruption Eradication Strategy, Batch 1 to Batch 4. He coordinated with Thai anti-corruption organizations as part of cases studies.

Sufian earned Master of Education- the Teaching Arabic to non-Arabic Speakers, from International Islamic University Malaysia in July 2009. He received Bachelor of Arabic Language, Islamic University Medina in 2004.
