Anish has joined AIT Extension in December 2016 as a Program Officer and currently attached with the Agriculture, Resources & Environment (ARE) Program. His responsibilities are to assist ARE Program in formulating competitive training proposals, planning, designing and developing training courses, identify and liaise with resource persons, facilitate learning process and coordinate with clients and participants. Other areas of work include dealing with technical aspects of training courses, preparing internal budget and monitoring financial disbursements, and any other duties assigned by Program Head and Senior Colleagues.
Before joining AIT Extension, as an Ecologist Anish was working with The Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) which is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. While serving at the CEGIS, his main duty was to provide consultancy services for enhancing the quality of planning a project for the clients as well as conduct baseline monitoring of biophysical and environmental resources, lead the survey/study team as a Project Leader for Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies of Coal based Thermal Power Plant Projects.
Anish has received his Bachelor Degree (B.Sc. Hons.) in Forestry and Wood Technology from Khulna University, Bangladesh in 2011 and an M.Sc. in Natural Resources Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand in 2015. His areas of specialization include Environment, Ecology, Forestry and Biodiversity. Anish is an advanced level computer user, very much social with international colleagues, and an active participant in sports and extra-curricular activities.
