This is a two weeks professional development course on Project Management, designed and participated by 8 officials from Dhaka Electricity Supply Company, Bangladesh. This two weeks course is designed for DESCO’s staff responsible for constructing 132/33/11 KV Grid Substation in DESCO area. Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited, commonly known as DESCO, is a Public Limited Company which distributes electricity at the Northern parts of Dhaka City and Tongi Town of Gazipur District. The company is now under the Power Division of the Bangladesh Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
Objective: The course will provide a comprehensive overview of project management practices in the energy sector. At the end of the program, participants are expected to be able to gain insights on the concepts of project management; instill the value of team building and leadership in project management; develop and idea about the concepts and approaches to result based management; familiarize with the financial tools for evaluating projects and identify and learn on the risk management pertaining to project management
TIMING: The training program will be held during 12 – 23 June 2017 (excluding travel time). VENUE: Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand
