Strategic Human Resource Management is the practice of attracting, developing, rewarding, and retaining employees for an organization for it to be productive, competitive and innovative to serve its customers/markets profitably. This requires leveraging and aligning an organization’s HR practices with its goals, vision and strategy and organizational development initiatives and activities. The current technological advances (in MI and AI) make the focus on HRM and HRD much more important, as machines could take most of the routine jobs away from the realm of employees.
This study visit program is designed for Management Department of Dhaka University to explore HRM processes and best HRM practices in Thailand as well as developing strategies and create successful leadership and Human Resource Developement at various operational level of the organizations. This program is organized by AIT Extension of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Pathumthani, Thailand.
Course Objective and learning outcomes
The training program aims to enhance the knowledge on the state and practice of HRM, build the skills and achieve the experience and attributes to succeed. This program will provide participants with most relevant and up-to-date information of the essential role of Human Resources Management and Development practices and lessons learned from Thailand.

After completion of this program, participants will be able to understand of
- Discuss HRM process and key aspects in today organizations
- Identify roles and strategies of HR functions in organizations
- Observe HR practices in industrial and corporate sector
