Course Objectives: 
  • To achieve a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, approach, and tools for MEL
  • To understand basic knowledge resources to prepare an M&E plan for  CSR's project implementation
  • Be able to adopt a result-based approach in planning projects and use the logical framework tool and be able to define measurable indicators to follow up and evaluate projects

Module 1: Project Cycle Management and M&E
Specific Objective: The participants can describe important components of M&E and process to integrate M&E in project cycle management

  • MEL Integration in Project Cycle Management
  • Formative, Summative and Evaluability of the Projects
  • Type of Projects and Key Considerations for M&E

Module 2: M&E Framework
Specific Objective: The participants will be familiar with current M&E frameworks being used by international development agencies

  • Project Planning nexus Project M&E
  • Theory of Change and Techniques Use for Preparing TOC
  • Logical Framework and Techniques for Preparing Log Frame
  • MEL Approach and Examples in SDGs related project

Module 3: Key Concepts of Result-based Management and MEL
Specific Objective: The participants will have concrete knowledge of result-based M&E approaches

  • Key Concepts of Result-Based M&E
  • Criteria and Indicators for M&E
  • Techniques for Outcome Mapping

Module 4: Research Design and Data Collection
Specific Objective:  The participants will be able to discuss the preliminary design of M&E and Learning Tools

  • Survey Design and Baseline Study
  • Techniques to Develop Survey Tools
  • Tools for Data Collection

Module 5: M&E Communication and Reporting
Specific Objective: The participants adopt the framework for the preparation of the MEL plan
