AIT Extension in partnership with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD), Ethiopia has commenced a special training and study visit program on “Sustainable Rural Development and Agricultural Practices Using IT Applications” (23 August – 02 September, 2010).
His Excellency Dr. Abera Deressa, State Minister, MoARD and eight other senior Government officials from MoARD, Ethiopia is attending the training program at AIT, Bangkok, Thailand. The ministerial participation is significant for the advancement of a holistic agriculture and rural development strategy of Ethiopia.
The focus of the program is to expose the participants to best practices and innovative learning in agricultural produces, marketing and community participation in the rural infrastructure development for sustainable progress.
