AIT Extension Hosts Bangladeshi Officials from WARPO

AIT Extension in partnership with Water Resources Planning Organization (WARPO), Ministry of Water Resources, People’s Republic of Bangladesh is organizing a two-week professional training program on “Planning and Monitoring Water Resources Projects” (12 - 22 December 2011) at Windsor Hotel, Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand. The training is specifically designed for ten junior and mid-level officers of WARPO. WARPO in Bangladesh is responsible for water resources planning and management at the national level. 

This training expects to deliver the necessary technical knowledge to improve participants’ skills on planning, monitoring and evaluation of water resources and thus help them in the supervision of National Water Management Plan and its policies. Furthermore, through relevant field visits in Thailand, the program will expose the participants to Thai experiences on how the issues of water management are being practiced in Thailand.
