Integrated Coastal Zone Management

This fee is for a customized course for ten or fewer participants. For additional participants, the fee is USD 2500 ​per participant.

Participants: Natural resources, environmental, agricultural, forestry, fishery and tourism planners and managers, regional and rural development planners and officers, and marine scientists and biologists.

Course Brief: This program exposes participants to the concept and practice of integrated coastal zone management, balancing environmental and development requirements. The course offers an overview of integrated coastal zone development planning and management; coastal ecosystem and bio-diversity; environmental impact of coastal zone development; and socio-economic aspects of coastal area development. Participants visit, observe and comment on various types of projects aimed at coastal zone development or utilizing coastal zone resources, both living and nonliving; and learn strategic approaches and practices used in Thailand for the development and management of the coastal zones.
