Course Brief: This program provides opportunity for the participants to visit, observe and make critical analysis on the effectiveness of locally innovated farm machinery being developed or used by farmers; observe the prototypes being tested in laboratory or in the field by educational institutions and research centers.
Participants visit Thai educational institutions and research centers responsible for research, development, and testing of farm machinery; meet with engineers, researchers and academics to discuss and exchange experiences on the design and development of various types of land preparation, crop maintenance, harvesting and post harvesting equipment; visit leading farms to meet farmers and discuss on farm mechanization practices and management problems; understand maintenance requirements of locally developed machinery; and observe the operation of the machinery.
