Rural Agribusiness Development and Management

This fee is for a customized course for ten or fewer participants. For additional participants, the fee is USD 2500 ​per participant.

Participants: Senior agricultural officers, agricultural extension officials and policy makers, rural development officers.

Course Brief: This program exposes participants to various types of agribusiness that can be developed in rural areas and makes a critical analysis of their development and management, thus enabling participants to gain a wider perspective for initiating similar programs in their own countries.

Participants learn the strategic approaches used by the Thai government to initiate and promote small-scale agribusiness; visit and observe central markets and management systems for various agricultural commodities; visit and observe various types of small-scale agribusiness managed by individuals or groups of farmers; meet and discuss with government officials, traders, and farmers to discuss and exchange views on agribusinesses; and meet and exchange experiences on agribusiness development and management with international participants.
