Course Brief: This course aims to enhance participants’ competencies in planning and managing sustainable tourism at local/community level as a mean to poverty reduction and local economic development. The course content covers planning and development of community tourism, rapid assessment, attraction and facility inventory, impact analysis, strategic planning for niche community tourism products and services, management of community tourism, hospitality, safety, customer services and quality control. It also includes case studies, exposure visit and community tourism development planning workshop.
