Course Brief: The course aims to enhance participants’ competencies in promoting advancement of women of low-income communities towards gender equality. The course content covers concepts and strategies in mainstreaming gender in development policies and activities, gender development in education, health, employment, legal status and decision-making, development of gender gap index, leadership development for women. It also includes case studies, best practices and comparative exposure visits to gender development projects in Thailand and Malaysia.
