Development and Production of Learning Packages

This fee is for a customized course for ten or fewer participants. For additional participants, the fee is USD 2500 ​per participant.

Participants: Instructional designers, course development specialists, university teachers, and trainers from government and private agencies and NGOs.

Course Brief:
This course aims to enhance knowledge and develop creative skills in designing, developing, and producing packages for various instructions of any subject areas.

The course covers print media, audio-visual materials, and interactive multimedia learning packages both for off-line and online teaching and learning delivery modes. Participants are engaged in discussions on principles and concepts and practical hands-on exercises and activities geared towards the final outcome - a learning package for the participants’ organizations.

Tentative Course Contents:

  • Design and Development of Training Modules
    Adult learning principles; developing a training design framework; designing a training/learning module; selection of training activities; selection of learning/instructional media.
  • Print-based Learning Materials
    Selection of appropriate print-based instructional materials; designing case studies and project work; basic and digital photography; hands-on development and production of print-based learning/training package.
  • Digital Video Production
    Effective us of video for training delivery; using a video camera; principles and processes of digital video design and development. Hands-on production of video learning materials.
  • Multimedia and Interactive Learning Materials
    Trends and developments in multimedia and interactive instructional technology; principles in designing and development of multimedia presentation materials; computer-based interactive learning package; development of webpage and web-based learning packages; hands-on development and production of CD ROM and internet-based multimedia and interactive learning packages.
  • Evaluation of Learning Packages
    Evaluation concepts and principles; criteria for evaluation of training/learning materials; checklist for evaluation of learning package; revision of learning packages.
  • Study Visits
    Study visits to prestigious training centers and instructional media centers in Thailand.
